Favorite Homemade Granola Bar Recipes

Avoid the added sugar from store bought granola and make your own at home. No baking or food processor required! Here are two amazing recipes for granola bars, both from Peanut Butter Fingers. They are so satisfying (think cookie category) and convenient for snacking on the go, for quick breakfasts, or as a healthier dessert.

No Bake Granola Bars



1 cup oatmeal

1/2 cup nut butter (I like mixing almond and peanut butter together)

1/2 cup honey

1/2 cup ground flaxseed

1/2 cup dried fruit


1/4 cup shredded coconut

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips


Directions: Microwave nut butter and honey 30 seconds to 1 minute stirring occasionally until blended together. Add all other ingredients and stir well. Press flat into pan and freeze for about 1 hour. Cut into 6-8 bars and enjoy! Store remaining bars in refrigerator.

Granola Bars



1 cup oatmeal

1/2 cup nut butter

3 tablespoons honey

1/2 cup ground flaxseed

1 tablespoon chia seeds

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Optional: dark chocolate chips (can you tell I have a sweet tooth?!)


Directions: Combine all ingredients together in a bowl and stir until everything is thoroughly combined. Roll into 12-14 balls (or to save time, flatten in pan instead) and refrigerate for one hour. These is are so easy to keep eating but try to stick to 2 a day and keep leftovers in the fridge.
