5 Things That Inspired Me This Week 7/10/15
I discovered Joy McCarthy of Joyous Health on a Wellness Wonderland podcast that I listened to driving up north last Friday. Joy is a nutritionist with a holistic philosophy on health and wellness. This week I checked out her book and every word is fantastic! Such an inspiration to live well without feeling like you are restricting yourself.

Chocolate Chip Tahini Cookies
Wow. You would not believe that these cookies do not have loads of butter and sugar in them. This is one of Joyous Health’s delicious recipes that I made on Wednesday. Here we are two days later and there are only 2 left… oops. Plus, they are husband approved! Score. I threw all the ingredients in the mixer then used a small ice cream scoop to form the cookies. Mine were twice the size that the recipe calls for so I baked them 6-7 minutes longer. If you like oatmeal cookies, give these a try!

I’ve talked on my blog many times about how much I enjoy listening to podcasts while driving, walking and running. Podcast Addict was introduced to my life over the last week and it is so convenient. You can download podcasts for free and it doesn’t take up much space on your phone. There have been many times that I couldn’t leave the webpage I was listening to it on or I’d lose my spot. It’s great for a non-iTunes gal like me.
Jamie Eason’s LiveFit Trainer 12 Week Plan (modified for me)
Yesterday concluded week 2 of this program. I’m usually a total body workout person, but have been craving strength workouts everyday recently. Since total body everyday wouldn’t give my muscles enough time to recover, I’ve been doing these workouts at home instead. I have modified the exercises that use machines and instead of doing 3 sets of one exercise before moving on to the next, I complete each set of exercises before starting back at the top to save time. The workouts are not especially hard but I am SORE after so I know I’m doing something. I plan to do one more week of phase one (instead of the planned four total weeks, since I know I’ll get bored) then move on to phase two.
