5 Things That Inspired Me This Week 1/29/16
Oh hey, it’s been awhile! I’ve had a draft for things that inspired this week going for quite some time but just haven’t been able to put the finishing touches on it. So, here are some things that have inspired me so far in 2016!
Zig Ziglar Master Successful Personal Habits on Hoopla
If you need some positivity and a kick in the pants, I recommend listening to this series. Zig is a motivational speaker and extremely funny. Listening to this audio series while cleaning or walks always improved my mood and pushed me to be better. A few takeaways to give you a taste:
Do not have PLOM Disease :: “Poor Little Ole Me”
Go to Automobile University :: According to Zig, the average person spends 10 hours each week in the car. Use that time to learn something. Download podcasts, listen to audiobooks, anything educational.
Sweet and Sour Meatballs
Wow. This recipe from Juli Bauer’s Paleo Cookbook needs to be doubled or tripled each time it’s made! So. Good. And after forming the meatballs, they are cooked in the oven so you don’t need to slave over a saute pan and risk burning yourself! This recipe will be a staple in our monthly meal plans, I’m sure! Andy and I have made this three times this month. The sweet and sour sauce with grilled pineapple and peppers is good, but it’s so easy to just whip up the meatballs and have them on their own.
Wool Dryer Balls
These were one of my favorite Christmas gifts…yes, I’m that crazy. They have been in my amazon cart for months, but for some reason I kept pressing ‘save for later’. I am so happy to now be done with dryer sheets and be able to add any essential oil I feel like (always Purification). I have not noticed shortened drying time, but like being green and chemical-free.
A Beautiful Mess Happy Mail
Calling this “Happy Mail” is an understatement. Ecstatic Mail is a better title. Again, something I’ve eyed for months but refrained from pulling the trigger. After being empty handed over and over and needing the perfect card for different occasions, I decided to take the plunge. A Beautiful Mess designs about 9 cards each month, one print and other miscellaneous items (this month washi tape and to/from cards). Together everything would add to about $50, but a six-month subscription is $18 a month and free shipping (a total steal). I cannot wait to send more snail mail and frame my favorite prints!!
Dance Fitness with Jessica Playlist
For a client’s bonus birthday session, she requested dancing and stretching. Jessica is my go-to for dance workouts (since this is far from my expertise, but I still love it). This playlist is about 40 minutes of fun…you’ll be sweating in no time!
Have a great weekend!
