5 Things That Inspired Me This Week 12/18/15

Each week I compile a list of 5 things that inspired me to be healthier and happier throughout the previous week. This helps me think about what makes me stay motivated to feel my best. I also hope that sharing these ideas may help motivate you to try incorporating some of these ideas into your lives as well. Feel free to leave a comment and share your own weekly inspiration. I’d love to hear from you!

Holiday Festivities

As I get older I grow more and more fond of the holiday season. The past few weeks have been full of festivities and I have thoroughly enjoyed them all! Here are a few examples:

I sang the national anthem in front of 500 people at the Plymouth Township/Junior Chamber Tree Lighting…

JUST KIDDING. Thankfully (for everyone’s sake), I just welcomed everyone to the tree lighting.

So refreshing! Slice up a lemon and add some frozen fruit then fill with water. I haven’t been able to get enough!

10 (err…7)-Spice Vegetable Soup

Wow….all I can say is wow. I had 5 (small) bowls when we first made this recipe. It just kept calling me back for more!

Meal Planning

A WEEK IN MEAL PLANNING (1)

After multiple meals involving take out or restaurant meals, it feels so good to make meals with whole foods full of veggies. I compiled a blog post about my week here. Another one to come soon.

Kombucha Brewing

I brewed my first batch of kombucha over the last week… I’ll spare you a picture until it’s finished! If you’re not familiar with the ‘buch, it’s fermented tea with a bunch of health benefits. Being someone terrified of food poisoning, we’ll see if I even get the guts to try my own batch! Fingers crossed all goes well.

Have a wonderful weekend!
