5 Things That Inspired Me This Week 3/11/16
Each week I compile a list of 5 things that inspired me to be healthier and happier throughout the previous week. This helps me think about what makes me stay motivated to feel my best. Signs of Spring
Ahhh, my favorite time of year. There’s a sense of relief I feel when the birds are out chirping again and I don’t have to walk everywhere with my face towards the ground.
6.5 Mile Run
I have broken down half marathon training to one long and one short run each week (in addition to 2-3 other workouts). This week’s long run was the first time in almost 4 years I’ve gone this this distance….and the first time I’ve completed this distance with miss Riley. She likes to brag that her PR would be much better if I let her off leash….and I just keep telling her the same for me if she didn’t stop so much to sniff dead stuff…
Hard Boiled Eggs
No longer working from home I am needing to prepare much more for long days. I find every other week I’m generally pretty good about it. One thing that has been saving me: hard boiled eggs. For some reason, they have been tasting so good lately! And they are the perfect amount of protein to pop on a quick break. Another one of my favorite quick protein-packed snacks: no bake oatmeal nut butter balls.

I was guilty of this multiple times this week…gotta love it when you’re making first impressions! At least this allows me to laugh about it. Anyone else feel me?
Clove Essential Oil
A few drops of clove in the diffuser and I am sleeping through the night. I still don’t love the scent, but it is slowly growing on me. And of course, snoozing through the night most definitely makes me healthier and happier.
